Pretoria - Convicted serial sex offender Stanley Eugene De Jager will know his fate on Friday after closing arguments on sentence were heard by Johannesburg High Court on Monday.
De Jager has been convicted on 18 of 21 charges of kidnapping, rape and indecent assault of girls, mostly teenagers.
Most of his victims, attacked from October 2001 to May 2002 were fair-haired.
He drove around Brackenhurst in Alberton and asked them for directions before threatening them with a gun, which he claimed was under the seat.
Afterwards, he would kidnap them and drive off to some secluded place, where he would rape them.
The court had also heard De Jager's relationship with his mother, who did not approve of his girlfriend, had contributed to his deviant behaviour.
The prosecution argued on Monday there was no chance for De Jager to be rehabilitated.
De Jager's defence attorney Renier Spies argued for a lesser sentence, saying he should be given a chance to go under rehabilitation.
