Johannesburg - Two more men appeared in the Roodepoort magistrate's court on Tuesday to face charges related to the Jeppestown siege which left 12 people dead, four of them policemen.
Another five people, who are still in hospital, were placed on the court roll in absentia.
This brings to 16 the number of people arrested. They will face armed robbery and murder charges. They will appear in court again on July 27.
One of the two used crutches to struggle up the steps from the holding cells and, bent double, collapsed onto his seat in the dock.
Like the earlier appearance, the court was guarded by heavily-armed policemen and the public was removed from the court, with only journalists able to produce a press card allowed to remain.
Magistrate Delize Smith repeated a previous order that no names addresses, identifiable photos or video footage of any of the accused may be published.
