Johannesburg - The head of a child, which had been found at Spaarwater Dam, near Duduza on the East Rand, has still not been identified, police said on Monday.
The head was found on Saturday last week.
The child was believed to be between three- and five years of age and the head had been scalped. It was not known whether it belonged to a boy or a girl.
A search for the body of the child at the dam and the surrounding areas was conducted.
In July a head of a woman was found in the same place and has since not been identified.
