Nelspruit - A man accused of trying to rape his older sister while their family slept has been kept for psychiatric evaluation since November.
He appeared in Nelspruit regional court on Wednesday, but the case was postponed to May 11 for a final medical report.
The 23-year-old man from KaBokweni near White River, who can't be named to protect his sister's identity, is accused of trying to rape her in her bed on March 20.
He is accused of going to her room late at night and undressing her with the intention of having sex with her.
When she screamed, the rest of the family came to her rescue, but he ran away.
He was arrested the next day when he came back from the veld where he is believed to have spent the night.
He has pleaded not guilty.
