Johannesburg - The Johannesburg metro police warned on Wednesday that hawkers selling fireworks at intersections would be arrested.
Superintendent Wayne Minnaar said selling fireworks on public roads was a contravention of the city's bylaws.
"We have seen some of them and anyone found will be arrested and the fireworks will be confiscated," he said.
