Man in court over child's death

Cape Town - A 24-year-old man appeared in a Cape Town court on Monday in connection with the abduction and murder of a three-year-old girl.
Mbulelo Bhadane would be held in custody until his next appearance on August 28, a Khayelitsha Magistrate's Court official said.
Viwe Mnembe's body, covered in stab wounds, was found near her home a week ago after she was abducted from her day care centre.
Her captor allegedly demanded a R500 ransom.
Bhadane, who had been her mother's boyfriend, was arrested at the Enkanini shack settlement in Khayelitsha.
Monday was his second court appearance.
