Diver drowns in ECape

Port Elizabeth - A diver died during a fishing expedition in Algoa Bay on Friday, Eastern Cape police reported on Saturday.
Captain Funisile Phillips said that the man, who would not be identified until his next-of-kin were informed, was one of a team of four divers based at Jeffrey's Bay who were fishing near Brenton Island around 11:00 when he went missing.
His three companions searched the seabed for an hour until they found the man's body.
Phillips said an inquest docket was opened and the exact cause of death would be determined by a post-mortem which would be conducted at the Port Alfred police mortuary.
