Brotherly concern kills man

Bethlehem - A man was killed on Saturday when he was hit by a car while he crossed the road after he checked if his sister was injured after her car overturned.
Captain Motarafi Ntepe of the Free State police said Estelle Kok, 30, was driving on the road between Bethlehem and Fouriesburg after attending the wedding of her oldest brother.
She had apparently left the reception at 00:30 after she allegedly had an argument with a male friend.
The friend and Estelle's other brother Phillip Kok, 32, were following her in another vehicle when she lost control of her car and overturned it.
Phillip went to see whether Estelle had been injured. As he crossed the road to return to their own vehicle he was hit by a a car and died on the spot.
Estelle was admitted to the Hoogland Medi-Clinic with back injuries. The female driver who hit Phillip was admitted to the Bethlehem Provincial Hospital for shock.
