Woman plunges to her death

Johannesburg - A Zimbabwean woman fell eight floors to her death at Cardiff Arms flats in Berea, Johannesburg on Monday, emergency services said.
"The 24-year-old woman was with two others in the flat when the electricity tripped. They asked the caretaker to put it back on and there was suddenly an explosion," said spokesperson Percy Morokane.
Two of the women, aged 18, managed to climb to the 7th floor after the explosion. One of them sustained broken limbs and the other sustained minor injuries, he said.
However, the 24-year-old slipped and fell to her death.
Morokane said the injured were taken to the Charlotte Maxeke Academic hospital.
He said the flat was extensively burnt.
