Johannesburg - A man was arrested for allegedly raping a 42-year-old woman at her house in Duduza on the East Rand on Sunday, police said.
Captain Thobile Xakeka said the woman had guests at her house who phoned the police to alert them about the rape.
The woman's guest heard her screaming and they went to investigate. They found the man raping her.
On arrival, police caught the man committing the rape. He fought with the police when they tried to arrest him, Xakeka said.
The woman sustained stab wounds in the body but it was not clear who stabbed her.
The arrested man lived on the same street as his alleged victim, Xakeka said.
