Johannesburg - Six alleged "Bomb Four" gang members have been arrested for the murder of a man in Etwatwa, in Daveyton, Johannesburg's East Rand police said on Wednesday.
Constable Mabote Motopi said the men allegedly robbed an unidentified man of his wallet and takkies in Emaphupheni Section, Etwatwa on Saturday.
"They stabbed him with a sharp object, and he died on the scene," said Motopi.
They were arrested in their homes on Wednesday. Motopi said the "Bomb Four" members, aged between 17 and 22, had also been linked to a house robbery that took place last week in Etwatwa.
The six youths were allegedly part of a gang of 18 terrorising local residents.
"We hope to link them to other case of housebreaking, house robberies and common robberies in the streets," he said.
The six were expected to appear in the Daveyton Magistrate's Court on Friday.
