Teen robber used toy gun

Johannesburg - A 19-year-old man was arrested for robbing a 60-year-old man of his bicycle using a toy gun in Boksburg, East Rand police reported on Sunday.
Sergeant Zithini Dlamini said the teenager attacked the man while he was riding his bicycle in Pritchard street at about 17:15 on Friday.
He pointed the toy gun at the man and rode away with his bicycle. On Saturday, a 63-year-old was attacked by the same teenager while riding his bicycle in Pritchard street at about
06:15.
A struggle broke out and a metro police patrolling the area saw the attack and stopped. The teenager was arrested.
On arrival at the police station, another police officer recognised the teenager as the one suspected of robbing the 60-year-old man on Friday. He was questioned about the attack and he confessed to having stolen the bicycle and sold it for R150.
He was arrested and will appear on charges of armed robbery and attempted robbery in the Boksburg magistrate's court on Monday.
