Body found floating in dam

Johannesburg - The body of an unknown man has been found floating in the Rietvlei river near Zonkizizwe, East Rand police said on Thursday.

Superintendent Andy Pieke said the body - floating in 2m of water - was dressed only in yellow underpants and brown sandals when it was found on Sunday.

The man who was well built could have been between the ages of 35 and 40, said Pieke. According to the autopsy, the man had drowned.
