Bethlehem - The case of a 39-year-old Free State farm supervisor who allegedly tried to run over a farm labourer with a tractor was postponed in the Winburg magistrate's court on Tuesday, a police spokesperson said.
Captain Motarafi Ntepe said the case arose from an incident when Zakaria Matheatau, 30, got into an argument with Hugo Pienaar at Providence farm near Winburg.
Matheatau reported the matter to the farm owner.
As the worker was walking back to his hut Pienaar allegedly caught up with him on a tractor and allegedly tried to knock him down.
After dodging the tractor for several times, Pienaar allegedly demolished Matheatau's hut.
Matheatau's wife, who was inside the hut, escaped with their two children.
Pienaar was remanded to September 29, Ntepe said.
