Johannesburg - Two men were arrested on Monday after a schoolboy was killed for his cellphone and 22 of his schoolfriends set fire to the suspects' houses, police reported on Tuesday.
Captain Maria Mazibuko said the two men, aged 19 and 20, would
appear soon in Vereeniging magistrate's court in connection
with the death on January 31 of an 18-year old pupil at Qoqa
Secondary School, Orange Farm.
The youth was shot when he refused to hand
over his cellphone.
Mazibuko said the 22 pupils, aged between 15 and 19, were
arrested after they allegedly set fire to three houses connected
with the suspects.
The pupils are due to appear shortly in Vereeniging
