Johannesburg - A mother and her daughter were robbed at gunpoint at their house in Versterpark in Bronkhorstspruit on Thursday, Gauteng police said.
Inspector Sanet Lourens said the pair arrived at the house from Pretoria around 14:00 when a BMW drove past and abruptly stopped.
The pair tried to close the electric gate but the BMW drove in.
The mother then tried to drive her car into the garage but the door did not close quickly enough.
The two men inside the BMW got out and opened the front doors of the car the mother and daughter were in.
At gunpoint the two men stole rings off of the older woman's fingers and stole a handbag before fleeing in the BMW.
No shots were fired and no one was injured during the incident.
A case of armed robbery was being investigated, said Lourens.
