Ten mistakes on traffic ticket

Pretoria - A traffic fine issued by the Tshwane Metro police has been withdrawn in the Pretoria North magistrate's court because of ten mistakes on the form.
Ryno Slabbert, senior state prosecutor,
says he has withdrawn "a few funny fines" by the Metro police because a court won't accept them, but this one "is surely the worst."
On this particular fine a regional manager of Doornpoort lives in "Doornbord", while Hammanskraal is called "Kamaskraal."
Slabbert says the fine stipulated that it should be paid at the "Tshwane charge office" in the "Moretele" district, but there isn't a Tshwane charge office and the Tshwane fines do not fall under the jurisdiction of the Moretele district.
The R200 fine said the motorist had violated section 18 of the Road Transport Act, but the so-called transgression wasn't described.
Fine for driving a Porsche
Earlier this week, a senior state prosecutor of the Pretoria Regional Court withdrew a R300 fine of a Pretoria businessman "because he was caught in his luxury Porsche in Pretoria's streets."
An additional R100 fine was given to the businessman "because he didn't have the prescribed documents" with him.
A forensic handwriting expert said on Thursday that the handwritings appearing next to the two charges were different.
He questioned the motive of the addition of the second charge about the so-called documents the Porsche owner didn't carry with him.
Mel Vosloo, spokesperson for the Tshwane Metro police, says both fines, as well as the allegations made by the handwriting expert, will be investigated."
"The officials responsible for the fines will not go unpunished. It's being considered in a very serious light," Vosloo said.
