Paedophile gets life + 40 years

Pietermaritzburg - Allan Keith Pyle has been given a life sentence and an additional 40 years' jail for raping and indecently assaulting young girls.
The sentence was handed down in Pietermaritzburg High Court, where Pyle stood trial after being extradited from New Zealand.
Prosecutor Rita Blumrick said the trial went smoothly, with no undue delays.
Pyle, 48, had pleaded guilty to three counts of kidnapping and three of indecent assault, but had denied raping a girl in Pietermaritzburg.
The trial took just more than a week.
The crimes tokk place while Pyle, who is a South African, was on holiday in Pietermaritzburg. He had already been found guilty of similar crimes in New Zealand.
Blumrick said one of the children testified at the trial.
Pyle was extradited to South Africa from New Zealand in December last year.
