Girl raped, mom arrested

Johannesburg - A Jabulani woman was arrested for child neglect on Thursday after her daughter was raped when she left her alone at home to go drinking, Soweto police said.
Inspector Kay Makhubela said the four-year-old child was left alone at home on Monday night when her mother went to a tavern.
A man broke into the house and raped her.
This man was traced and arrested and police then set about investigating why the child had been left alone overnight.
They subsequently decided to arrest the girl's mother, who will appear in the Protea Magistrate's Court on Friday.
Makhubela said the little girl was placed in the care of her grandmother.
