Durban - The body of a 30-year-old domestic worker was found inside a toilet in Pietermartizburg on Wednesday and it is believed the woman's throat was slit, police said.
Spokesperson Superintendent Henry Budhram said the body of Zakithi Mncwabe was found at her employer's home in the Grange on Visagie Road at 09:15. She also lived on the premises.
Police forced the toilet door open and found the body. "She had sustained an open wound to the neck which appears to have been slit," Budhram said.
He said police thought the motive for the killing might be house robbery. No arrests have been made.
