Johannesburg - A group of concerned citizens and victims of highway crime have joined together to warn motorists of dangers on the road, the SABC reported on Thursday.
Calling themselves the "Highway Action Group" they want to highlight the danger of driving on the N1 south, near the Grasmere toll gate in Gauteng.
There have been a spate of incidents in this stretch of road. Rocks are put on the road, and motorists are attacked when they stop to remove them.
Apparently more than 20 incidents have occurred in November and December this year.
People have been injured, vehicles damaged and property stolen.
