Girl, 3, raped and murdered

Johannesburg - A three-year-old girl was raped and murdered at the Kwa-Masiza hostel in Sebokeng on Saturday morning, Vaal Rand police said.
The child was murdered after her mother, 23, left her alone to visit her boyfriend around 03:00, Superintendent Maria Mazibuko said.
When the woman returned around 06:00 she found the alleged rapist, a friend of the boyfriend, getting dressed in the room. He had broken in through a window.
The child was naked and bleeding.
Neighbours arrested the man after being alerted by the mother's screaming.
Police were summoned and arrested the 29-year-old man.
He will appear in the Sebokeng magistrate's court on Monday.
The court would also decide whether to arrest and charge the mother with negligence, Mazibuko said.
