Four held for centre robbery

Johannesburg - Four robbers were arrested on Sunday after they held staff and customers at gun-point at Themba Shopping Centre outside Pretoria on Sunday, Tshwane metro police said.
"The armed men entered a Shoprite Checkers store through the building's roof early this morning," said spokesperson Gillian Malepa.
He said the robbers fled to the other parts of the building when someone alerted the police. Those being held captive managed to escape after the robbers fled.
"Police cordoned off the area and entered the building through the roof. "They then managed to catch all four men who were hiding in parts of the building."
Police initially thought a hostage drama that was taking place, but all occupants in the store managed to escape.
The robbers were taken to Hammanskraal police station and were charged with business robbery.
No one was injured during the incident.
