Ekurhuleni - More than 400 speedsters have been caught in the Ekurhuleni area, with one driver clocked doing 202km/h, the metropolitan police said on Sunday.
Spokesperson Wilfred Kgasago said the motorist, who had four young children in the car with him, was caught on the N17.
His excuse was that he was late for a flight leaving from Johannesburg International airport.
Another driver was nabbed doing 200km/h on the same road and claimed he was late for work.
Kgasago said on Saturday 247 motorists were caught exceeding the speed limit and by Sunday afternoon, another 170 had been nabbed.
