Her sandals 'covered in blood'

Balfour - A man charged with raping and murdering a teenager and dumping her body at a dumpsite appeared briefly in court on Friday.
The 24-year-old man from Siyathemba outside Balfour in Mpumalanga was not asked to plead to charges of murder and rape when he appeared in the Balfour Magistrate's Court.
He will appear again on January 21.
A passerby discovered the body of 17-year-old Dina Mkhonza at about 05:00 on January 1.
"When we got to the crime scene, we found her half naked. She was only wearing her jeans," said Mpumalanga police spokesperson Superintendent Abie Khoabane.
Her sandals were found about 10m away and were covered in bloodstains. Nearby rocks were also covered in bloodstains.
Police arrested the man the following day after receiving a tip-off.
They allegedly found him wearing the same clothes that he'd been seen wearing the previous day and they had bloodstains on them.
