Baby dies in shack fire

East London - A two-year-old baby died and six other children were badly burnt when a shack was gutted by a fire on Friday night at Scenery Park, East London, Eastern Cape police said on Saturday.
Captain Michelle Matroos said the children were alone in the shack when the incident happened and it was suspected that they might have put a flammable substances in the fire.
The injured children, aged between six and seven, were taken to the Frere Hospital.
In other incident the body of a three-months-old baby was found in a shack in Duncan village. The baby's body had scars and it was suspected that he had been assaulted, she said.
