Acornhoek - A Limpopo teenager returned to school on Tuesday, after missing two years of school. He was expelled for unruly behaviour that led to another pupil's death.
Clarence Aubrey Moimane is now 19 years old and is back in Grade 11.
He was expelled from Moses Mnisi High School in Cottondale, Acornhoek, in January 2002 after a friend stabbed another pupil to death with a screwdriver the previous October.
His friend, Bornface Molapo, 18, is serving a five-year suspended prison sentence for the murder of Hosanna Silinda, about 5km from the school.
Clarence, who admitted he was present when the incident happened, is now enrolled at Magwagwaza high school.
He was never criminally charged.
He says he is excited about going back to school and promises to work hard because he wants to be a lawyer one day.
