Johannesburg - Three men were arrested on Monday for murder and robbery, Western Cape police said.
The three men were expected to appear in the Khayelitsha Magistrate's Court on charges of murder and armed robbery on Wednesday.
Police spokesperson Billy Jones said the men held six people at gunpoint at a home in Khayelitsha on Sunday.
"The men gained entrance to the house by forcing the front door open. Two people in the house were shot dead during a scuffle with the suspects."
A 57-year-old woman, Cecilia Sam, was shot in the chest and her 45-year-old brother-in-law, Johnson Sam, was shot in the head.
Jones said the suspects also indecently assaulted a 24-year-old woman and fled with cash and cellphones.
Investigations led to the arrest of the three suspects.
