Johannesburg - ANC stalwart Walter Sisulu was admitted to
the Milpark Hospital in Johannesburg on Tuesday for routine
observation, his family said on Wednesday.
His daughter-in-law Elna Sisulu said the 89-year-old was in no
danger.
"At his age, it is normal for doctors to take precautions and
for regularly checks to be conducted," she said.
The former veteran of the struggle spent 18 years on Robben
Island and another eight years in Pollsmoor Prison in Cape Town
during his incarceration by the apartheid government.
It was not clear when he would be discharged from hospital.
The 89-year-old was unable to attend the funeral of Govan Mbeki on
Saturday because of poor health.
