Cash van rammed off bridge

Tzaneen - A security guard was killed and three others critically injured when seven robbers in three cars pushed their cash van off a bridge before escaping with pension money.
Captain Moatshe Ngeope of Limpopo police said a Cash Paymaster van was taking pension money from Tzaneen to Modjadji.
It was travelling along Polisti Road about 10km from Tzaneen about 06:45 when it was rammed from behind by a BMW.
The van was pushed off a bridge and fell several metres into a dry riverbed.
One guard died instantly and three others
were critically injured and taken to Van Welden Hospital in Tzaneen.
Ngoepe said seven armed robbers took cash before driving away in another BMW and a Toyota Corolla.
The first BMW was left at the river and it was found this car had been hijacked in Mondeor, Gauteng earlier this week. The second BMW and the Toyota were found abandoned several kilometres away from the robbery about 10:00, said Ngoepe.
A murder docket was opened.
