Wife survives armed robbery

Johannesburg - An unknown number of armed men shot and killed a man and wounded his wife in an attempted robbery in Flora Park, Polokwane police said on Friday.
Spokesperson Inspector Lesiba Ramoshaba said the incident occurred at 23:00 on Thursday.
It is alleged the robbers armed with pistols gained entry into the house and shot the 56-year-old man twice in the chest and once in his left arm, Ramoshaba said.
The 54-year-old woman was shot in the right thigh - she was rushed to hospital in a serious but stable condition, said Ramoshaba.
Nothing was taken and police were investigating a case of murder and attempted murder, said Ramoshaba.
