Port Elizabeth - An obsession to have sex with a blonde, white woman, a pornographic picture on a filing cabinet and a dress on which a cat urinated.
These are part of the testimony offered by two male former colleagues of Tamsanqa Khoza, 50, provincial head of security in the department of correctional services (DCS), in the magistrate's court on Monday. Khoza is charged with sexual harassment.
DCS section head, Marius Lamont, testified that he advised one of the plaintiffs, Debbie Louw, to kick Khoza "between the legs on the toolbox where it hurts the most" when she complained to him that Khoza, her former boss, was sexually harassing her.
Lamont said Khoza told him that he wished to "get into bed with a blonde, white woman".
He said he decided to testify against Khoza, a good friend of his, because he felt sorry for Louw and another plaintiff, Adele van Heerden, who both worked at St Albans prison.
A former warden at St Albans, Christo "Kattie" Brandt, testified that he had an argument with Khoza after Khoza pasted an A5-size picture of a naked woman on his filing cabinet. The picture was confiscated from an inmate.
Brandt claimed that Khoza also told him about his preferred choice for a sexual partner.
He testified that another plaintiff, Maryke Vosloo, a former psychologist with correctional services, did not want to attend a meeting with Brandt and Khoza because a cat had "urinated on her dress".
Brandt said Khoza insisted that Vosloo take off her dress and stay in his locked office with him until the dress had been washed at the prison. She apparently stormed out of his office after this suggestion.
The case continues on Tuesday.
