Couple hijacked at toll plaza

Johannesburg - Five men hijacked a couple at the Umvoti toll plaza in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal police said on Friday.
"The five men held them at gunpoint at the toll plaza before two of them got into their vehicle," said Superintendent Muzi Mngomezulu.
He said two of the suspects drove the car with the couple still inside and demanded bank cards and pin codes from them.
"The money was thereafter withdrawn from the victims' accounts and they were dropped off in the sugar cane (fields)," he said.
They were not injured during the hijacking. The suspects were at large and police were investigating.
