Actor held for reckless driving

Johannesburg - An actor in the SABC1 soapie Generations was arrested on Monday morning for reckless and negligent driving along Olifantsfontein Road in Midrand, the Gauteng department of community safety said.
The actor was arrested with another motorist for driving along the barrier and shoulder lanes.
"This caused obstruction to traffic as well as overtaking on the wrong side of the road, posing a threat to the safety of other motorists," said spokesperson Thapelo Moiloa.
Moiloa said the two would be released on bail and were expected to appear in the Midrand Magistrate's Court soon.
Eleven other motorists were arrested for driving under the influence of liquor on the Allandale offramp, also in Midrand at the weekend, Moiloa said.
Another 14 were arrested for drag racing and were later released on R500 bail each. They were all expected to appear in Midrand Magistrate's Court soon.
