Speeding biker fined R20 000

Durban - A Johannesburg motorcyclist caught doing 232km/h on the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast in December was sentenced to a R20 000 fine or six months imprisonment by the Scottburgh magistrate's court on Friday.
The province's Road Traffic Inspectorate Rajen Chinaboo said: "This sends a strong message to the public that we are serious about speeding offences."
Malcolm Cochrane, a self-employed businessman from Kensington, was trapped in Park Rynie on the South Coast driving a Kawasaki Ninja 1000cc motorbike on December 19.
