Dogs savage woman to death

Tzaneen - Police put five dogs to sleep on Monday night after they killed a woman and attacked another at Dam village outside Tzaneen, Limpopo police said on Tuesday.
Captain Moatshe Ngoepe said one woman was savaged and killed by 10 dogs while she was crossing a street at the owner's house on Sunday. Another woman was attacked by the dogs while crossing the same road on Monday. She is in a serious condition in hospital.
He said police killed five of the 10 dogs on Monday night. They could not locate the other five animals, but were currently searching for them.
The dogs were locked in their owner's garden, but managed to jump over a gate into the street, Ngoepe said.
The owner of the dogs has not been arrested.
