Johannesburg - Two burglars have been caught red-handed in Boksburg on Monday night
by the North East Rand dog unit, say police.
Superintendent Eugene Opperman said the unit got a tip-off that people were behaving suspiciously at a house in Kwartel Street, Sunwood Park, Boksburg.
The unit arrived at the house about 21:30 on Monday and found
a bakkie parked outside. The engine was running and various items, including a television and hi-fi set, were loaded
in the bakkie.
A man came out of the house carrying a microwave oven and
immediately surrendered to the dogs. Another man inside the
house also gave himself up with no resistance.
All the goods were returned to the house and Opperman said the two men were due to appear in Boksburg magistrate's court soon.
