Comrades winner dies in robbery

Johannesburg - Last year's Comrades Marathon grandmaster winner, Danny Shongwe, was killed in a robbery, The Citizen reported on Tuesday.

Shongwe, 64, and his friend, Dumisani Msidi, were killed in the robbery, which the newspaper did not date.

Last year, Shongwe, a member of the Nelspruit Marathon Club, won the Comrades grandmaster title and several local and national marathon titles in his class.
