Kudu causes crash, three die

Fort Beaufort - Three women have died after the bakkie they were travelling in, swerved to avoid hitting a kudu and overturned.
Inspector Mali Govender for police said the driver of the bakkie was on his way from Cradock to King William's town when he picked up three women who were needing a lift.
"Near Fort Beaufort a kudu walked over the road. The driver swerved, the bakkie hit a tree and overturned," Govender said.
Two of the women died at the accident scene, and the third later died in hospital.
The driver is in stable condition in hospital.
A charge of culpable homicide is being investigated.
