Boy, 3, engulfed in fire

Kimberley - A three-year-old toddler was burnt to death after his father set fire to the family home in Philipstown outside Kimberley on Monday, Northern Cape police said on Tuesday.
Inspector Tony Modise said the parents of Jaydey Hugo were arguing and the father threatened to kill the boy and the mother.
He went outside, leaving the girlfriend and the boy in the house. He then poured petrol around the outside of the three-room house and set it alight, Modise said.
The woman escaped without injuries, but the toddler was found dead after the police had extinguished the fire.
Modise said the 26-year-old man was arrested and would appear in court soon.
