Port-Au-Prince - Three former aides to deposed Haitian president Jean Bertrand Aristide - including former leaders of the senate and national assembly - have been released from prison, authorities said Friday.
Former senate president Yvon Feuille, ex-national assembly president Roudy Heriveaux and militant Lesly Gustave, all members of Aristide's Lavalas party, were arrested last October and accused of inciting violence.
At their lawyers' request, a judge allowed the three men to be released on bail on Christmas Eve, while investigations continue to determine if there is sufficient evidence to try the trio in court.
