Johannesburg - Four traffic officers were arrested on Friday for bribery and corruption, Pretoria police said.
"Four of the officers, three who are still students, demanded money from a truck driver, after they spotted him driving without registration plates," said Captain Prince Mokhabela.
He said the driver then gave them R500.
"When the owner of the truck found out about the bribery, he reported the incident to police," Mokhabela said.
The officers were arrested and will appear in court soon.
