Pretoria - Police spoilt the fun of some when they arrested 14 people at Oppikoppi music festival in the city at the weekend.
Fourteen people between the ages of 17 and 35 were arrested at the annual music festival, this year held at the Pretoria show grounds.
Inspector Anton Breedt for police said a task force of the police's dog unit responsible for drug raids swooped on the festival on Friday and Saturday.
Police seized 192 dagga cigarettes, 11kg loose dagga and 2kg dagga cakes, as well as Schedule 7 medicine and magic mushrooms.
Meanwhile, a 23-year-old Nigerian citizen, possibly linked to a drug syndicate, was arrested in Sunnyside at the weekend.
Breedt said 172g heroine and a small quantity of cocaine were found in the man's possession, as well as overseas currency.
Breedt said the man was suspected of having links to another Nigerian arrested at his home in Midrand about two months ago.
