Durban - A 25-year-old woman was killed and her boyfriend wounded in a hijacking in Durban on Thursday morning, KwaZulu-Natal police said.
Spokesperson Michael Read said the incident took place on Maydon Wharf Road at 03:00.
The couple were sitting in their horse and trailer when four armed men confronted them, said Read.
"They shot the 30-year-old truck driver on his hand and the bullet went through and also hit his girlfriend in the chest."
She died at the scene.
Read said the robbers fled in the truck, but were stopped by police in the Bester area, near Phoenix.
"All four were arrested and one firearm was found," he said.
The firearm was linked to another armed robbery in the Montclair area.
