16 hurt as minibus loses wheel

Johannesburg - Sixteen people were injured, two "very seriously", when a minibus taxi overturned on the Soweto Highway near the FNB Stadium on Tuesday, said Johannesburg metro police.

Deputy director Conel MacKay said it appeared the minibus had overturned when its right rear wheel came off just before 06:00.

All the injured were taken to Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital for treatment.
