Cape Town - Two of the four Pakistani men arrested in connection with the killing in Johannesburg last week of two Muslim women from Mozambique will appear in Athlone magistrate's court in Cape Town on Thursday, Western Cape police said on Wednesday.
Captain Andre Traut said the men, aged 24 and 25, were arrested in Rylands on the Cape Flats on Monday and a possible murder weapon, a 7.65mm pistol, was recovered from them. A vehicle registered in Swaziland was also seized.
Traut said the men would appear in Athlone magistrate's court briefly before being transferred to Johannesburg to face trial with the other two men, who have already appeared in the Soweto magistrate's court.
All four men were arrested after the women's bodies were found on the side of the Old Potchefstroom Road in Lenasia. Both had been shot.
