SA feels icy grip of winter

Pretoria - The cold weather that hit parts of the country is set to continue for the rest of the week.
Evert Scholtz of the SA Weather office said the drop in temperatures was due to a high-pressure system on the East Coast, bringing rain to KZN. The cold was set to continue the rest of the week.
A cold front in the Western and Eastern Cape could bring rain to the interior and Northern Cape, Eastern Cape and western Free State. The showers will spread to the central Free State and North West.
A minimum temperature of 2°C was forecast for Pretoria with Johannesburg feeling an icy grip of -2°C before reaching a maximum of 14°C.
In Cape Town rainy conditions prevailed with a maximum of 16°C forecast.
