Gang robs mall jewellery shop

Johannesburg - A gang of about 18 men robbed a jewellery shop in the West Rand's recently opened Clearwater Mall early on Tuesday, police said.
The gunmen overpowered the centre's security guards at 02:15 and ransacked the shop, said Captain Paula Nothnagel.
The gang had gained entrance to the mall through a fire escape passage.
They broke the jewellery shop's windows and after ransacking the shop fled, in two cars and a bakkie.
Nobody was injured during the robbery.
