Pilgrim's Rest - The case against two men implicated in the murder of British tourist Diane Conway has been withdrawn by the Pilgrim's Rest Circuit Court in Mpumalanga.
Richard Mashego, a Royal hotel employee, is a free man. The accused, Benny Marope has been taken back to prison where he is serving a sentence for housebreaking in a separate incident.
The Conway couple was attacked in their room last October by Prince Mogane. Diane was shot dead and the husband John was wounded. Mogane is serving a life sentence for the crime.
He implicated Mashego and Marope. Mashego said he will sue the state for the unlawful arrest.
