Dog rape: Countless sexual acts

Johannesburg - Her screams for help didn't stop her Taiwanese employers from allegedly inserting a king-size Rottweiller's penis inside her vagina.

The shattered 15-year-old girl from Ivory Park on the East Rand, a domestic worker for Taiwanese employers based in Pomona road, Kempton Park, for two months, was allegedly severely beaten and shot at before being forced to perform countless sexual acts with the Rottweiller dog.

"This is the most horrendous act of human barbarism, which must have been even more horrific for the victim," said Denise Steward of the SPCA in Kempton Park after learning about the case.

Eugene Opperman of the North Rand police said the girl was allegedly attacked by her Taiwanese employer, Cheri Wang, 24, and her brother Ken Wang, 27, after they accused her of not cleaning up properly. The incident allegedly occurred on Tuesday morning, just after the girl reported for duty at a minimarket which houses a liquor store, coffee shop and fast food outlet. The teenager was lured by her employer into a backroom, where she was accused of not cleaning properly.

Later her furious employers resorted to beating her up and pinning her down. The two allegedly forcibly inserted the dog's penis in the hysterical girl's vagina - causing grievous bodily harm.

"The nature of the sexual attack on this child is horrifying and enough to make a seasoned detective like me puke at the mere thought of what this poor child had to endure," said one police officer.

"Violence and abuse of this nature runs contrary to the values and ethos of our democratic society," said a shocked President Thabo Mbeki in a press statement.

Cheri Wang was arrested on Tuesday and Ken Wang handed himself over to the police on Wednesday. The suspects have been charged with sexual assault of a minor, indecent assault and assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm.

Each was granted bail of R20 000 as a furious crowd descended on the Kempton Park Magistrate's Court on Thursday. Bail conditions require that they report to the Kempton Park police station daily and surrender their passports and firearms.

Captain Annemarie Potgieter of the child protection unit said the girl "will hopefully recover well after this harrowing experience".

The dog has been returned to the suspects' mother, who is its rightful owner and had emigrated to South Africa in 1990.

Close associates of the siblings formed a ring of steel around them and refused City Press entry to their minimarket."No talk, no," said a middle-aged man, a part-time assistant, who claims he can't speak English.

The case resumes on June 30.
